Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Gentle Yoga Pranayama, Yin Yoga , Yoga Kids, Yoga Ado et Yoga Prenatal
I’ve practiced yoga since 2000, but it was after having spent a year’s sabbatical in India in 2009, during which I deepened my studies, that the idea came to me to share my love and knowledge of the practice. When I arrived in Cannes in 2014, I decided to open a school to teach in the tradition of pure Ashtanga that I learned myself.
I studied with internationally-renowned Ashtanga Yoga teachers Paul Dallaghan et John Scott, and have participated in pranayama courses with master teacher O.P. Tiwari. I have also taken several retreats and meditation courses (Vipassana, Mindfulness, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)). I’ve also taken Kids Yoga Teacher Training with Rainbow Yoga International.
Because I believe that to be a good teacher one must always remain, at heart, a student, I continue to study and attend yoga workshops and masterclasses around the world.
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and Gentle Yoga
I discovered ashtanga yoga in 2013 in Thailand, with Julie Hirunchai who teaches me the basics of the first series for 3 years. At that time, I was trying to make peace with myself and gain more confidence in myself. I am also training with Ajay Kumar from Mysore, who comes once a year to Phuket.
Back in France in 2017, I have the chance to meet Patricia Ramos, “Patchi”; her rigorous and traditional teaching, in line with Patthabi Joïs, seduces me. In August 2019, I graduate from Professor RYT 200h from Paul Dallaghan.
Today the 8 members of yoga are part of my daily life: I teach and practice in Calm, and I do not miss an opportunity to deepen my knowledge during workshops or workshops.
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and Gentle Yoga
After 6 years spent in Paris teaching and training with international teachers, Mélanie returned to settle on the Côte d’Azur.
Yoga allows me to learn and rediscover my body. Practicing sports in competition since a young age, it is the dynamism of Vinyasa which seduced me. This type of yoga combining breathing and movement has gradually become my favorite practice.
I then wanted to enrich my teaching and practice by training in Yin Yoga and Prenatal Yoga.
In my teaching, I like to share the benefits of yoga , and I offer a dynamic and energizing Yang practice while keeping time for Yin practice, which is both gentle and relaxing.
The most important thing for me: you come out with a smile on your face.
Today, I continued to work at Jason Crandell and followed various workshops and steps to enrich my practice and teaching
Kundalini Yoga teacher
I have been practicing yoga for 20 years, but my Kundalini yoga journey started, with Imagine Academy, in 2014, when I moved from my hometown in South Africa to Zurich.
In the very first lesson, something moved, there was a deep release of emotion. It was super powerful. I signed up for the teacher training course curious to know more.
The transformation and change in my life was magnificent. Teaching then came naturally because I wanted to share this practice with everyone.
It is a powerful tool to move through life, to feel more grounded and balanced, to find a deeper connection with your true self, and to recognize that I am another you – we are one.
