Shala is a Sanskrit word meaning “house”, “abode”. In the context of yoga, a shala is a yoga studio, or yoga “house.” It is most commonly associated with the Ashtanga style of yoga. A yoga shala is a place where the physical practice of yoga – asanas – is taught, but it also provides a stimulating and encouraging environment for yogis to come together, share experiences and grow in their practice.
The CALM studio (Comme À La Maison) is an annex of Patchi and Alexis! A former stable of Villa Mezzo Monte, a charming and above all very quiet place. The annex has an independent entrance, a private outdoor courtyard, a practice room, a changing room, a shower and parking facilities. And what’s more, our studio is accessible for people with disabilities.
In the outdoor courtyard, a space for multicultural activities: open air cinema with screenings of yogis films and “classics”, conferences; openings, exhibitions of local artists and Satsangs.
Acoustic music sessions and artistic performances so that everyone can express their talent. In addition, a library and a yogi video library are available to students.
