Mélanie grew up traveling and had the chance to study in London before moving to Paris in 2012 where she discovered yoga.
After working for several years in International Human Resources, she decided to leave the corporate world to dedicate herself to teaching yoga.
Trained in Vinyasa yoga by two American teachers, Amanda Dates then Jason Crandell, she draws her teaching from the lineage of vinyasa yoga and flow yoga. She also followed Yin yoga training in the tradition of Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers.
After several years spent in Paris training with international teachers and teaching, Mélanie returned to settle on the Côte d’Azur in 2019.
I have been practicing yoga for 20 years, but my Kundalini yoga journey began, with Imagine Academy, in 2014, when I moved from my hometown in South Africa to Zurich.
In the very first class, something shifted, there was a profound release of emotion. It was super powerful. I signed up for teacher training curious to know more.
The transformation and change in my life was magnificent. Teaching then came naturally because I wanted to share this practice with everyone.
It is a powerful tool for moving through life, feeling more grounded and balanced, finding a deeper connection with your true self, and recognizing that I am another you – we are one.
Yoga came into my life in 2017 when I worked in the office and my moral state and my body required changes in my life and my habits. After each Vinyasa class I felt lightness in my body, my chaotic brain began to calm down. A year later I met Patchi and fell in love with Ashtanga. New stage in my life, new personal discoveries via Ashtanga.
In 2021 I decided to deepen my experience of yoga as a teacher at the CALM school.
At the end of my training I learned that I was pregnant for the second time, for me it was a sign where I should go next. During my pregnancy I followed two training courses for pregnant women (pre/post natal training in Gasquet; prenatal yoga training in Russia at the Auma school). All the theory I learned I immediately tested on my body. In the end I merged all the theoretical and practical knowledge that I obtained during my years of practice.

Catherine discovered yoga in 2011 in the Maldives with a young teacher from Shanghai. In addition to physical well-being, the practice gradually changes its behavior patterns, it becomes more moderate and I avoid overreacting according to its conditioning. She becomes aware of her deep emotions and needs and I avoid overreacting based on her conditioning.
After starting teaching in 2016, she continues to enrich her knowledge with training in Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga, Adjustments and Restorative Yoga. She transmits what she learns with energy and passion and stays on the path of learning every day, and this brings her joy.
After working for 10 years as an educator in the medical-social sector with children, I trained in yoga for children in 2019 with KAt Eratostene and the R.Y.E (research for yoga in education) after seeing the benefits of yoga on my daughter.
Always as passionate about the world of childhood and parenthood, my mission of transmitting it to children and their parents holds a special place in my heart.
My classes have a fun approach and are adapted to each age of childhood.
Through different practices, children will experience movement, static postures, breathing, relaxation… the idea is to bring them better body awareness and overall well-being. The notion of living together, collective and goodwill between each other are also part of my courses.
All this in good humor and joy!
